Paragon Print and Packaging has supplied three different label, film and cartonboard packaging formats for The Co-operative's new Loved by US brand range.
Paragon used digital color technology in order to make sure that total consistency was achieved throughout the entire range.
The Co-operative packaging design marketing manager Brooke Fletcher said the launch of the company's new 'Loved By Us' design marks a change as it looks to bolster its own brand packaging offer.
"The new design is bold, contemporary and vibrant so it was important we worked closely with Paragon to ensure we achieved absolute colour consistency on shelf across all packaging substrates," Fletcher added.
According to Paragon, the new fully recyclable format used sustainably sourced FSC board and has minimized plastic by around 90%, with overall carbon impact having been reduced 61%.
The packs use Paragon's Freshlife technology and also work to help reduce food waste.
The Co-operative environment manager Iain Ferguson said, "we continually strive to reduce the carbon impact of our packaging without compromising on the quality or shelf life of the products inside."
