US-based packaging solutions provider Sambrailo Packaging has designed a new plastic clamshell for berry packaging.
According to the company, the MIXIM berry packaging system offers smooth, clear sidewalls for improved visibility and reduced mechanical damage.
The system also offers a venting for better air-flow which leads to faster cooling and longer shelf life, and also a pallet configuration for improved freight cube.
Sambrailo's MIXIM system is available in three options - MIXIM Standard, a nine-down tray per pallet tier configuration; MIXIM Classic, the traditional number of trays per pallet tier configuration; and MIXIM Plus, a five-down common footprint tray per pallet tier configuration.
