Packaging solutions provider CSP Technologies is expanding its Auburn manufacturing facility in Alabama, US for increased manufacturing and warehousing space.
The manufacturing and warehousing capacity of the facility is being expanded by 110,000ft². The new facility located adjacent to the existing headquarters is under construction.
Earlier this year, CSP has commissioned new thermoforming line and its operations will play a key role in its new portfolio of antimicrobial products for food safety.
With a plan of enhancing the manufacturing efficiency of its France facility, Neiderbronn-les-Bains, CSP has added clean room manufacturing and high cavitation stack cube molding with in-mold process capabilities.
The installation of clean room in its manufacturing facility provides the required infrastructure to fabricate dry powder inhalers and other medical devices.
CSP’s operations located in US and France will be ISO 13485:2016 certified for medical device manufacturing and assembly.
The company is expecting that the new facility will amplify its global production volume by 25% in the plastic processing sector including injection molding, thermoforming, product assembly and filling.
By collaborating with Georgia Tech and Auburn Universities CSP Technologies has backed a built-in pipeline of designers, engineers and scientists.
In the last three years, CSP has enhanced its global in-house design, engineering, material science and project management capabilities.
CSP Technologies CEO John Belfance said: “CSP Technologies is looking forward to expanding our global manufacturing and warehousing capacity with great pride, as it allows us to further broaden our portfolio of innovative products and packaging solutions recent growth in probiotics, transdermal patches, and thermoformed trays.”
Belfance further added: “With six worldwide locations, and more than one billion products manufactured annually, we will have the capability to provide even more customers with the competitive edge CSP provides.”
