DAK Americas plans to raise September prices for all grades of polyethylene terephthalate by 3 cents/lb, according to a letter sent to customers on Friday.
"The announcement is necessary due to upward pressure on the price of raw materials," the letter states.
Sources said Friday that other US producers are also likely to increase prices for September, but had not yet done so.
