Berlin Packaging has completed its amalgamation of a US-based distributor of industrial and rigid packaging, United States Container (USCC) after acquiring the company in October 2012.
All the USCC sales and warehouse locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix were rebranded and will now do business as Berlin Packaging, as part of the full integration.
The back-office business systems of USCC have also been moved to Oracle/PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform of Berlin Packaging, providing former USCC customers and suppliers access to Berlin's order, inventory and delivery management systems.
Post acquisition, Berlin Packaging, which supplies plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures, serves the market and its customers with over 90 sales and warehouse locations across North America.
According to Berlin Packaging, its customers benefit from the acquisition through wider teams in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix areas; four new warehouses and a industrial packaging portfolio.
Customers can also get online access to stock packaging though Sunburst Bottle, a USCC business unit which now collaborated with the Freund Container & Supply division of Berlin Packaging.
