Scotland-based W&M Watson Packaging (WMW) will be acquiring two self-adhesive label companies based in central Scotland - Lothian Labels (LLL) and Complete Labelling (CLL).
While the former is a prominent label manufacturer, the latter is a label merchant.
Additionally, the two companies manufacture and distribute stock/bespoke labelling and lease industry quality labelling equipment.
The acquisitions have cost the company around £300,000 and will add more value to its extensive catalogue of packaging products ranging which include new and once-used corrugated boxes, poly products, and polythene bags along with a comprehensive assortment of packing supplies, by roping in a completely new line of products and services.
WMW took the decision of acquiring LLL and CLL as it is a part of the company's new business plan to diversify its portfolio to increase its market share along with offering its customer base a 'one-stop-shop' experience partnered with unrivalled market prices.
W&M Watson Packaging managing director Chris Kelly said: "This is our second and third acquisition, to be completed within a month, it's certainly been a hectic time for WMW in the acquisition market as we continue to execute our bold strategy of further consolidation in the Scottish packaging market; stay tuned, we most certainly are not done yet!'
The company is a member of The United Packaging and Box Group (The UPAC Group) and is considered to be one of the fastest growing packaging companies in Scotland.
UPAC consists of multiple specialised companies covering all aspects of the packaging industry including, new and used boxes, solid board cartons, printed and plain labelling as well as packaging assembly and fulfillment work.
