Reportedly, Taigang Stainless, the largest stainless steel producer in China announced to cut the 300 series stainless steel price by US$50/ton but it increased the 400 series stainless steel price by US$50/ton for February.
Currently, most stainless steel market participants are holding the price stable and do not tend to cut the price to secure the orders.
Affected by the price cut made by Taigaing Stainless, Taiwanese stainless steel mills may probably consider keeping the price flat or increasing the price by NT$1,500~NT$2,000/ton for February.
