Pro Mach division Matrix Packaging Machinery is set to launch the new X machine that packs the production capacity of two machines, up to 250-bags-per-minute, into the floor space needed for one 45-inch wide bagger.
The bagging machine, which comes equipped with two Automation Supply & Engineering augers, has been designed for coffee, baking, snack food, prepared food, confectionary and other similar companies.
Matrix Packaging Machinery vice president and general manager Marc Willden said the X machine is actually two baggers with two augers and has been consolidated into a single small footprint unit.
"The machine creates twice the production per 45-inch-width of floor space as well as greater flexibility. Production managers can bag the same product using the two augers and form-fill-seal units or run different products at the same time," Willden added.
The rugged stainless steel cantilevered frame and other components of the machine are designed to withstand the rigors of 24/7 duty cycles. It forms pillow bags from 3 to 15-inches long and from 2 to 7.5- inches wide.
Matrix said the X machine packs the punch of two machines in the footprint of one and features electronic servo motion control for precise changeover.
