Mets Board is set to provide more folding boxboard in sheets for customers, as part of its ongoing service development.
The company's two sheet cutters at its nekoski mill in Finland will initially provide 70,000t per annum extra sheeting capacity. The mill's products including Carta Integra and Carta Solida are designed for quality packaging and graphics.
Some of the increased folding boxboard capacity will be processed by the nekoski sheeting plant at the mill, following the board machine rebuild completed earlier in 2012, and partially restore outsourced sheeting.
Mets Board's Gohrsmühle mill in Germany will open a new Express Board service center for all of its folding boxboard grades in September 2012. The mill's annual sheeting capacity will be 60,000t.
According to the company, the service is ideal for orders with short delivery lead times and for smaller orders.
