US-based Rice Lake Weighing Systems’ division Rice Lake Weighing Systems Europe in The Netherlands has acquired the belt-scale manufacturer Master Engineering.
Rice Lake, which will continue manufacturing as usual, will relocate its Arnhem operations to the Master Engineering facility in Heteren.
The acquisition improves Rice Lake's core competencies and establishes a manufacturing presence within the EU and is expected to work well for the company's long-term growth and expansion plans within Europe.
According to Rice Lake, the acquisition also expands the existing distribution network for both companies.
Master Engineering provides static and dynamic weighing, batching and dosing systems throughout The Netherlands and Belgium.
