Ishida Europe has introduced new single and twin high speed snacks packing systems, which can weigh and pack potato crisps at up to 150 bags per minute per tube.
According to the company, the systems consist of either a 14-head or 18 head CCW-RV multihead weigher and Atlas single or twin bagmakers.
The new Ishida Charge Transfer Control (CTC) system provides control of the product charge and increases bagging speeds by a further 25% without compromising product integrity.
Featuring a high speed chute design, CTC includes a rotary poker and shutter system that offer gentle product handling.
The Atlas bagmaker comprises ceramic hot knives with hard-wearing jaws, which provide better sealing properties to deliver quality pack presentation.
Ishida Snacks system control screen helps in easy monitoring and controlling, while CTC enables fast changeovers without the need for dedicated tooling.
Ishida noted that the CTC can also be retrofitted to existing Atlas systems without requirement for additional space to increase packaging capacity.
The weigher or bagmaker combination with complementary equipment, comprising metal detectors, printers or coders, seal testers, checkweighers and x-ray inspectionis is said to form part of a fully integrated packing line.
