The Wolseley Group Will Probably Complete The Restructuring of Its Operations in France

The Wolseley group will probably complete the restructuring of its operations in France at the beginning of 2014. According to information provided in even more detail in the business report for the whole of 2012/2013 (1 July), 109 French branches are to be sold, while closure is currently planned for another 14 branches. The branches to be sold are primarily those in the building-materials retail chain "Reseau Pro". Earlier reports from Wolseley indicated that most of those branches would be sold to Chausson Matériaux. However, more details on the state of the sale negotiations will not be published in the latest business report. Apart from representation through Reseau Pro, Wolseley also enjoys a presence in France through the timber-trading channel "Wood Solutions". Restructuring measures are also being implemented at Wood Solutions. Following conclusion of restructuring work, Wolseley will operate only 144 branches in France.
