The Seminar Held in Sydney in June Attracted Record Numbers

The seminar follows similar very successful events held in Sydney in the last two years as part of AITA's annual National Forklift Safety Week and is supported by all AITA members," Mr Pringle said. "The seminar held in Sydney in June attracted record numbers, and there has been considerable interest from forklift truck users in other areas of Australia in receiving the same information. This is an integral part of the AITA's ongoing commitment to promoting the safe use of forklift trucks," he said.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday 29 October 2013 at the Best Western Airport Motel & Convention Centre, 33 Ardlie Street, Attwood from 1.00pm – 4.30pm.

The main theme of the seminar will be an in-depth review of the main changes in the revised AS 2359:2-2013 Powered Industrial Trucks – Operation and the impact on end users.

The seminar will feature speakers on a range of topics around this theme including implications for training, traffic management, areas of responsibility for safety issues under the new Standard, the impact of WHS harmonisation and other legal issues.
