SCLAA Has Collaborated with Emberin in The Development of a New Program for Women

The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) is well aware that attracting and retaining women in the industry has long been a challenge for employers. To support employers in the Australian supply chain, logistics and transport industry, we are pleased to announce that the SCLAA has collaborated with Emberin in the development of a new program for women in the industry.

The new program, Ignite – TLSC, will help participants develop their leadership skills and enhance their performance.

The TLISC E-Scan 2013 tells us that women comprise only 22% of the industry's workforce and 73.3% of industry employers utilise mentoring and buddy programs to develop their workforce. So building on the early success of Women Moving Forward, it was time that a program for mentoring women in our industry was again made available.

Participants in Ignite TLSC will develop their skills and raise their visibility within their organisation and industry. For managers the program presents a low-cost, high-value investment that will encourage the attraction and retention of women to their organisation.

The women participating in Ignite – TLSC will benefit from the 12-week 'My Mentor' kit, a fortnightly one hour webinar to hear from industry leaders, weekly newsletters, and opportunities to meet industry leaders and other program participants.

Bookings are now open for the very first Ignite – TLSC program, commencing in February 2014. Online bookings can be made up until Friday 6 December at http://tlsc-ignite.eventbrite.com.au.

The SCLAA invites the industry to be a part of this exciting initiative.
