According to report released by Germany-based service center Damstahl, Europe's stainless crude steel output totaled 4.4 million tons in January-July period, down by 5% year on year. In the given period of time, the stainless steel production in Germany fell by 15%; that in Sweden and Slovenia dropped by 7% respectively, all compared to the figures in the same period of 2012. Meanwhile, Damstahl expected that the building and construction will rebound next year. Also, the transportation industry will grow in 2014.
