Yieh Hsing, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to keep its wire rod prices unchanged for April. After the announcement, Yieh Hsing's list prices for Al-killed wire rods are at NT$24,500/ton; those for rimmed wire rods are at NT$23,700/ton; those for blast furnace killed wire rods are at NT$23,000/ton and those for electric furnace killed wire rods are at NT$22,300/ton. It's learned that most of the Taiwanese wire rod producers have all remained list prices flat for April. Industry source said that the transaction prices of wire rods may be supported by the steelmakers' unchanged prices for April and stable spot iron ore prices, in spite of weak demand.
