PPG Industries' (NYSE: PPG) flat glass business has launched a new and more interactive photo gallery that features hundreds of buildings constructed with PPG architectural glass products. The gallery now includes GOOGLE MAPS™ technology to show and provide directions to exact building locations, and visitors can search or sort projects according to architect, glass fabricator, glazing contractor and "best fit" or "close" matches. Architects also can create and share lists of favorite projects from the gallery and email individual project photos or results of product searches to clients and colleagues. PITTSBURGH, Jan. 6, 2014 - PPG Industries' (NYSE: PPG) flat glass business has launched a new and more interactive photo gallery that features hundreds of buildings constructed with PPG architectural glass products.

The expanded photo gallery now includes GOOGLE MAPS™ technology to show and provide directions to exact building locations. Visitors also can search and sort projects according to architect, glass fabricator, glazing contractor and "best fit" or "close" matches. Additional search options include building name, city, state, province, ZIP code, country, LEED® certification and project type, such as office building, health care facility, and educational, municipal or government building. Plus, architects can create and share lists of favorite projects from the gallery and email individual project photos or the results of product searches to clients and colleagues.

Glenn T. Miner, PPG director of construction, flat glass, said the photo gallery was redesigned based on feedback from architects, who requested many of the new features. "Even with all the sophisticated modeling and specification tools available today, architects still want to see what glass looks like on buildings in real-world environments," he said. "The new photo gallery fulfills that need and offers architects more targeted, streamlined and relevant searching and sorting options."

The photo gallery is compatible with tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices, and it is designed to integrate seamlessly with PPG Glass eVIEW, a multifunctional suite of Web-based tools that enables architects and other building professionals to search, construct, view and compare virtual glazing configurations in three dimensions.
