On 25th March 2014, 20 Scania New G Euro IV high-end heavy trucks were delivered to Tianjin Dongliang Xinrui Logistics. Su Bolun, general manager of Scania (China) Sales Co., Ltd, Wang Yunting, general manager of Beijing Qichi Electromechanical Co., Ltd, Liu Guofu, general manager of Tianjin Dongliang Xinrui Logistics, and 20 Scania New G drivers attended the event.
Tianjin Dongliang Xinrui Logistics mainly dispatches food and oil, and this fleet is mainly responsible for the food distribution in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Dongliang Xinrui is the earliest company using imported trucks for food distribution, and currently the largest food distribution professional logistics company. In 2012 it became one the second batch of pilot enterprises for drop and pull transport, which went on quite well. The company currently has 173 tractors, 256 trailers, 20 more of Scania's heavy trucks since last year's purchase. Liu Guofu, general manager of Tianjin Dongliang Xinrui Logistics told the reporter, "In food transport, stop & start 40-50 times evry trip is very fuel consuming. Scania trucks only consume 28L fuel in 100 kilometers. This low fuel consumption ensures the drop and pull transport mode."
For the medium and short distance transport situation of Dongliang Xinrui Logistics, Scania New G 400 horsepower trucks were selected. Scania's technician told the reporter, "The New G series Euro IV standard truck would have enhanced configurations, and the 400 horsepower has bigger torque output and greater power than the old 420 horsepower." The reporter from chinatrucks.com found that the New G heavy trucks have improved its outlook as well, such as the streamline design at the front, the paralleled lights on the top, and so on. These have been improved after aerodynamic tests, reducing wind drag and fuel consumption.
The general manager of Beijing Qichi Electromechanical Co., Ltd Wang Yunting said, "Beijing Qichi will be assign 10 people for station service to ensure that smooth operation. With the economic integration of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, Tianjin will become an important market for high-end heavy trucks. Beijing Qichi will continue to provide users with the best transport vehicles and logistics solutions. "
