This Will Be a Stand Alone Review of The Bic Mark It Markers and I'Ve Got a Few Experiment

Bic Mark It Permanent Markers

A few months ago I asked for feedback on some items that people would like to see reviewed.  One of the items that I was asked about were these Bic Mark it Permanent Markersand I was also asked to compare them to Sharpie permanent markers.  This will be a stand alone review of the Bic Mark it markers and I’ve got a few experiments in the works as I write this which will take some time to complete, so the comparison review will come soon.

The Bic Mark it permanent markers come in a variety of colors that would be great to have on hand for just about any occasion.  The pack I picked up here is the standard set of colors that you see in many sets of permanent markers, which is black, blue, red, and green…or in the case of these Bic has labeled them as:

Tuxedo Black

Rambunctious Red

Deep Sea Blue

Forest Green

Just seeing the names of these colors makes me wish I had picked up the pack of 36 to see how creative the folks over at Bic could actually get.

One of the really nice thing about these Bic Mark it permanent markers is the grip, which is pictured below.  Not only is it a nice soft rubbery material that they are made out of, but they also have a great textured pattern on them which makes for a very enjoyable writing experience.

The overall writing experience with these permanent markers was great.  They put down very solid and consistent lines, and the colors are pretty bold and vibrant.  So far I have not noticed any spreading of the tips, although I probably have not been using them long enough for that to become a problem.

According to the specs on the package, the markers are fade resistant and have acid free ink, but the thing that really caught my attention was that they claim to be able to last for up to two weeks while uncapped.  If that statement holds true, that is a pretty impressive feat.  In addition to testing the claim about them being uncapped for two weeks, I’ll also be testing their ability to hold up against exposure to direct light, water, dry time and anything else that you can think of if you want to leave suggestions in the comments below.  In addition to just testing these Bic Mark it Permanent Markers, we will also be comparing them to the similar and more popular Sharpie permanent marker, and based on what I’ve seen so far in my testing it could be an interesting match up.
