Unity Opto revenues hit 24-month high in June Siu Han,Taipei;Steve Shen,DIGITIMES[Friday 6 July 2012]LED packaging firm Unity Opto Technology saw its consolidated revenues grow 20%on month and 40%on year to hit a 24-month high of NT$710 million(US$23.77 million)in June,according to the company.
The company's order visibility has extended to September,with demand for LED backlit and lighting products both growing,Unity Opto said.
Orders for LED backlit products from Taiwan-based tablet PC and LCD TV ODMs/OEMs,as well as from China-based branded TV vendors continued to move up in June,driving up sales growth for the month,said the company.
Additionally,demand for LED-backlit devices from the notebook and tablet PC sectors is expected to last into the third quarter,the company asserted.
Second-quarter revenues amounted to NT$1.79 billion,increasing 68%from the previous quarter,indicated the company.
