Norwegian Bauwerk Boen Group is to cease manufacturing at a site in M?lln, Germany, which does business as Boen Parkett Deutschland, by the end of February 2014. The company was created on 22 May by the merger of Swiss Bauwerk Parkett with Boen. The site, which Boen brought to the merged company, presently assembles three-ply parquet. These activities include profiling and surface treatment, which switched entirely to oxidative cured hard wax oil at the start of 2013. The semi-finished products there are sourced from another former Boen facility, Lithuanian Boen Lietuva. This facility is to house all of Bauwerk Boen Group's three-ply parquet production activities in the future, including final assembly of various types of surfaces.
