The Mexican particleboard and plywood manufacturer Duraplay has followed the Chilean wood-based panels group Maderas y Sinteticos S.A. (Masisa) and Proteak in announcing an MDF investment project in Mexico. The company intends to install a new MDF line with an annual capacity of around 200,000 m3 at an existing complex and thus join the other two companies in benefitting from sustained growth in the Mexican MDF market, which has been served almost entirely through imports from South America to date.
