MAUSER Group has signed an agreement to increase its stake from 32.5% to 50% in intermediate bulk containers (IBC) joint venture (JV) Fanshun MAUSER Shanghai Packaging, located in China.
The MAUSER Packaging's IBC production assets will be transferred to the joint venture, as part of the deal.
Fanshun MAUSER Shanghai Packaging will continue to provide IBCs from both Shanghai and JiangYin locations for the Chinese market.
MAUSER Group CEO Hans-Peter Schaefer said the renewed joint venture will be the platform to enhance IBC related services further.
"Consolidating our Chinese IBC activities in the already 2003 established joint venture will allow us to serve the Chinese market more effectively and is another step to expand our presence in China," Schaefer added.
