21.11.2012 − Italian wood processing machinery and tool manufacturers enjoyed better order intake from foreign clients in the third quarter of 2012 compared with last year’s high level. However, the Italian domestic market faced a stronger downturn compared with last year’s already weak level. All in all, businesses suffered a 3.7% drop in demand between July and September 2012, according to a quarterly survey conducted by the industry association Acimall. A 3.1% increase in export orders could not wipe out a 25.2% plunge in domestic business.
