The UK Timber Frame Association of Alloa, Scotland, cStructural Timber Association (STA) since late September. The appropriate plans had already been announced in May. STA says the new name reflects the increasing diversification in its membership structure. The circle of members meanwhile goes well beyond timber-frame construction and also includes manufac-turers and users of products such as cross-laminated timber (CLT), structural insulated panels (SIPs), and gluelam beams.
