Multi-Plastics Launches New Laminated Pouch Structure Eztear

US-based plastic film converter MULTI-PLASTICS has introduced a new laminated pouch structure EZTear, which can be used in easy open stick packs or similar flexible packaging applications.

According to the company, the new EZTear addresses various aspects pertaining to easy tear initiation and control of tear across the pouch.

Ideal for end user markets including powder dry goods, wet goods or liquids, medical, nutraceutical or cosmetics, the product offers good printability, stiffness, better burst strength and puncture resistance.

Without the use of expensive laser scoring, EZTear provides an easy open pouch.

MULTI-PLASTICS inventor and product manager David Parsio said the technology is said to revolutionize the easy tear market.

"End users will no longer have to struggle to open convenient single serve, on the go products," Parsio said.

Additionally, the structure includes DiversaSeal sealant technology, which enables the customer to use a single structure across various applications.
