The British Glass Manufacturers' Confederation Represents The UK's Glass Industry

The British Glass Manufacturers' Confederation represents the UK's glass industry. From our offices in Sheffield we act as the industry's focal point, playing the principal role in communicating the concerns and aspirations of our Members to the Government, the European Union and other external interest groups and trade bodies.

50+ Years Experience

With more than 50 years' experience of serving our members, we are instrumental in promoting glass as the first choice material for containers, flat glass, domestic glass, scientific glass, technical glass and glass fibre applications.

In 2007 British Glass added ISO14001 - joining ISO9001 and 17025 - to its well established reputation for quality. ISO14001 reflects the growing focus within the UK business community on environmental issues which often go hand-in-hand with cost saving - this is particularly true within the energy intensive sector which British Glass primarily serves where price increases over the last few years have made energy savings - even small ones - valuable.
