Our Parents Were Passed on The Right Set of Lessons and Guidelines

Our parents were passed on the right set of lessons and guidelines to live their life. They were happy and lived healthy lives because of it. They had fewer resources, as compared to us, and utilized them till the end. They tried to teach us the same but we had the fortune and the misfortune of being born and raised in an age where technology reigns supreme, the words of the internet hold more weight and we have become too independent as far as our knowledge is concerned. This has made us miss out on the countless messages from our parents that seem simplistic but are derived from a profound place of wisdom. These ignored messages could have saved the earth from its debilitating state today. We have suffocated the earth with every possible waste material that we are done using, without once considering that those things can be reused, recycled and reclaimed. Unlike the older generation, we do not value our possessions, we disregard and abuse them and then throw them away thoughtlessly when, according to us, their role is over. In the same way, rubber products are left to rot and stay unused. People do not opt for reclaimed rubber, even though it is better than virgin rubber in many ways. Everyone has a responsibility to dispose off their waste properly so that it does not become a health hazard for anyone else. Landfills too have become a controversial topic and people rightly say that some 'waste' in these landfills should not be there in the first place because it can be reclaimed and reused to create products that cost half, become multi-purpose and protect the environment too. Rubber can be used for a much longer period of time if you simply maintain it or repair it. The manufacture of rubber is a polluting process and even its decomposition takes a long time. So reclaim your rubber products and also save non-renewable products of petroleum that are used for the production of synthetic rubbers. There are practical, useful, beautiful and ingenuous things that can be manufactured out of reclaimed or recovered version of rubber. A path-breaking use of the reclaimed rubber is that it helps in absorbing the deadly oil spills in the water bodies. Many do not know that tires are incinerated for the reclamation of embodied energy. This produces significant amount of power that can be even used as fuel in factories. Another important aspect of reclaim rubber is that it helps with the economy as a large number of people have found work in this field, especially in developing countries, where recycling artists have formed their own special marketplace and livelihood. They do not let tires and other rubber products go waste and collect them and reprocess them or reclaim them into other useful and eco-friendly products. The tires can be cut into many parts and each part can be reused like the treads, sidewalls, etc. So, listen to the wise words of the past. Do not haste to make waste. You can re-use, recycle and reclaim. Source: GOARTICLES
