The Roll Separator Has The Strongest Magnets Attached to It and Doubles as The Head Pulley

In order to separate fine iron filings from product or foodstuff such as Feldspar quartz, or silica sand, magnetic roll separator is usually employed. The separator is composed of several segments such as electromagnetic feeder, Hopper, Drive motor, Roll construction, Control panel and Adjustable Splitter Plates. The Dimmer control is usually attached to the electromagnetic feeder. The roll separator has the strongest magnets attached to it and doubles as the head pulley. During operation, the products are made to pass over the magnetic roll. Due to strong magnetic force, ferrous materials would get stuck to the conveyor belt while non magnetic particles would fall off onto the chute below the belt.

There are splitters whose function is to make sure that optimum split is achieved between both magnetic and non magnetic material. In order to achieve better separation results, the velocity of the roll separator is adjustable such that it can be increased or reduced depending on your desired results. If its speed is increased to say, 400 revolutions per minute, enough centrifugal force is attained. This would enable better separation of magnetic and non magnetic particles.

The Feed Hopper is made of stainless steel with tiny adjustable feed outlets. Its design structure allows controlled filtration of material feeds. Magnetic Roll construction constitutes special designs in order to facilitate extremely high magnetic field gradient. The main Roller unit is constructed using Neodymium Iron Boron magnets. These are the strongest rare earth magnets known to man. They are manufactured with extremely low dimensional tolerance allowance. Depending on the capacity and extent of separation the speed of the driving motor may be locked at constant speed or adjustable.

With such electromagnetic feeder machines it enables handling of bulk material in addition to cutting down on your costs per ton. This is because it can handle all kinds of materials, from the finest of powders to bulky chunks. For industries with mass production outputs, electromagnetic feeders are a great innovation. Many industries have been revolutionized by this latest technology and it keeps on evolving. The fact that electromagnetic feeders employ the use of neodymium magnets makes it unique from other feeders.

There are many advantages in using these types of feeders. Issues such as maintenance are very minimal while the need for lubrication or greasing some mechanical parts is not applicable. It does not have parts which can suffer due to wear and tear such as bearings, belts or other movable parts. The Neodymium magnets are arranged in an alternating North and South poles arrangements. The rotary velocity would thus depend on the attraction and rebellion on unlike poles. The system may run continuously with excellent accuracy. Despite the fact that no maintenance would need to be undertaken on these machines, vendors do provide after sales maintenance warranty.
