Energy Conservation Certification for Ballasts for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps

The basis of energy conservation certification for ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps is GB17896-2012 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and the energy efficiency grades

of ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps (hereafter referred as new standard), which has been promulgated on May 11th, 2012 and taken effect on Sep. 1st, 2012 to instead of the old version GB17896-1999. The details as following,

1. The new application must be in accordance with new version standards since Sep. 1st, 2012.

2. For clients who hold old version certificates should submit the changing application since the notice released, and take differentia test, then the new version certificates with JIE mark will be issued if the product meets new standards.

3. Certificate change should be completed before Sep. 1st, 2013. The certificates will be suspended if the change is overdue, and CQC will withdraw the certificates for those cannot complete certificate changes before Dec. 1st, 2013.

The new standard has a great change compare to old version, Adjustment of the product range,

and having a higher requirements on testing equipment and methods. Pleases pay full attention and ensure the conversion work to complete successfully.
