Foam Roofing Is a Seamless,Energy-Saving,Waterproof Alternative to Standard Roofing Method

Foam roofing is a seamless, energy-saving, waterproof alternative to standard roofing methods. Foam roofing is applied to a roof by spraying SPF, or sprayed polyurethane foam, on it. The foam is made of two chemicals, isocyanate and polyol, which are heated separately and then mixed before being sprayed onto the roof. Spray foam roofing can be applied to just about any roof, even oddly shaped roofs or ones with protrusions. In order for foam roofing to be applied, the roof surface must be clean and dry. The result is a sealed surface with a number of advantages over other types of roofs. One benefit of foam roofing is that it's seamless. The coating of foam polyurethane roofing spray congeals to make a single, unbroken surface. This helps prevent leaks that are common to other roof types, because there's simply no place for liquid to leak through. It has nowhere to go other than rolling off the roof. Foam roofing is a lightweight alternative to standard roof types, weighing less than a sixteenth of what some other roofs weigh per square. Spray foam roofing also grants superior thermal insulation, providing significant energy savings year-round. SPF is sometimes used to insulate industrial grade containers for oil and chemicals, so needless to say it's very effective for commercial insulation. Spray foam roofing is almost watertight. It prevents any moisture from entering the building, thus preventing the condensation that can lead to deterioration. Even if the topcoat of SPF suffers damage, the lower layer of the foam roofing still keeps water out. Should the foam roofing become compromised, repairs are quick and easy. The upkeep required on foam roofing is minimal, and it should never need to be completely replaced or redone. Additionally, excess weight from pooling water can be prevented. If the foam roofing is applied so that some areas are thicker than others, the water will naturally flow off the roof. This prevents the strain that water pooling can cause on a roof.
