PLANO, Texas — Steven L. Pepper, retired president of Yum Brands Mexico, has joined the board of directors of rent-to-own retailer Rent-A-Center, the company announced.
Pepper retired from Yum, an operator of fast-food restaurants, in 2011 after a 20-year career. He was appointed by the Rent-A-Center board to fill a vacancy on the board and will serve a term that expires in 2016.
"Steven's extensive knowledge of international multi-unit retail operations and experience in international expansion will provide invaluable insights and perspectives as we continue to build on our strategic growth initiatives," said Mark Speese, Rent-A-Center chairman and CEO.
