Stora Enso has introduced a improved version of MediaCard, which includes a single layer (SL) board with a double silk coated surface.
The company has improved the bulk and stiffness, according to customer and market needs, after the first launch of MediaCard in 2012.
Stora Enso speciality papers vice president Eckhard Kallies said the MediaCard is suitable for a wide range of graphical end uses and packaging such as covers, folders, folding boxes, cards, tags, tickets, posters, game cards and shopping bags.
"With the re-launch of MediaCard Stora Enso completes its Packaging and Graphical Board offering for brandowners, designers, converters and printers," Kallies added.
The company produces MediaCard at its Uetersen mill, situated in Germany.
