According to Japan's media report, the negotiation wth Nippon Electric Company and China's largest notebook maker Lenvo has come the the final negotiating stage. It's expected to reach an agreement within this month. The new comany will turn to manufacturing and selling mobile phones including smart phones.
Japan's domestiic cellphone makers, NEC included, are known lost to foreign brands. Their market share keeps going down. Days ago, NEC, Casio and Hitachi to establish mobile phone joint venture. Besides, NEC plans to cooperate with Lenvo, China's second largest marker share in smart phone, to supply, develop and manufacture mobile phones. It can be predicted that restructuring trend will help accelerate development.
On the other side, due to the decrease of notebook business, Lenvo plans to promote the smart phones' sales with the NEC's technique. Both sides have negotiations on the capitals of mobile phone business and business cooperation.
