David Thomas Died at His Home Dec. 22. Who Was 78

Retired Furniture Sales Rep David Thomas Dies at 78

PALM DESERT, Calif. — David Thomas, who spent more than 40 years as a furniture industry sales representative, died at his home here Dec. 22. He was 78.

Thomas spent 25 years as a representative for Stanley Furniture, followed by an 11-year stint at Lexington Home Brands. He wrapped up his career as a representative for UltraComfort America, the retail furniture division of power lift chair manufacturer Golden Technologies.

"David was extremely meticulous and this industry veteran was the most driven sales representative I ever had the pleasure of working with," said Bob Smith, vice president of sales at UltraComfort America. "His passion for his work can never be replaced."

Thomas is survived by his wife, a son and two brothers. A grandson, Bryant Stingley, works for Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based Living Spaces, a Top 100 retailer.
