New Hangar at Opa-Locka Executive Airport Is Essential to Development of Miami-Dade County

Lemartec Engineering and Construction Corporation has completed the design and kicked off construction in February of Miami Executive Aviation's (MEA) new state-of-the-art business aviation hangar facility at Opa-Locka Executive Airport located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

"This new facility is essential to the continued economic development of Miami-Dade County", said Lemartec president Manny Garcia-Tunon, "and is expected to have a direct positive economic impact on the local community surrounding the airport once operations begin."

When completed in the 4th quarter of 2013, the new facility will deliver over 40,000 square feet of new hangar space capable of hosting business class jets, including the latest business class Gulfstream models. The facility will also include an additional 5,000 square feet of offices and support areas. Interior space for the new facility will boast state-of-the-art technology to facilitate aircraft pilots and owners with the convenience and world-class experience they expect out of a South Florida aviation facility. Construction of the facility began in early February of 2013 and will experience a fast-track schedule that will grant MEA full operation of the facility in time for the aviation industries peak season. The speed of design and construction of the hangar is made possible in part thanks to Lemartec's expertise in utilizing pre-engineered building systems by VP Buildings. This is the same site featured in Will Smith's "Miami" music video, and was also featured in his "Bad Boys" movie.
