Washington,US:Luxury case goods and upholstery manufacturer,Kittinger Furniture,Hickory Chair,and lighting and furnishings producer,Niermann Weeks,were some of the awardees of Made:In America's annual manufacturing awards which took place in July 2012.A non-profit organisation,Made:In America recognises US manufacturers and business owners in the industry.Companies are awarded for outstanding qualities in its production field,and quintessential commitment to manufacturing in the US.
Kittinger Furniture was awarded 2012 Best:Made In America for its classic pieces and design traditions.The president of the company,Ray Bialkowski,said Kittinger was"honoured"and"grateful"to receive the award.
Mr Bialkowski stated that since 1866,Kittinger Furniture has achieved excellence in furniture design,manufacturing,and economic sustainability during periods of management transitions and recessions."We have been and continue to be dedicated to American craftsmanship and the American worker,"he said.
Another exemplary award winner in the Made:In America awards was 2011 Build it in America award winner,Niermann Weeks,which was recognised as a furnishing company which meets the needs of clients,and applies earth-friendly techniques in manufacturing quality furniture.
