Full-line importer AICO is expanding its International Home Furnishings Center showroom here to showcase the new Mia Bella by Michael Amini line of contemporary leather upholstery.
The 8,000-square-foot expansion will feature an "art gallery vibe" that will highlight the more than 150-SKU line, said Chuck Reilly, senior vice president of sales and marketing. The space will include four upholstery groups and new occasional pieces that have been added since the line was launched at the Las Vegas Market in January.
The expansion will boost AICO's total showroom size to more than 43,000 square feet and will extend the showroom from the Commerce Wing into an area leading to the Wrenn Wing. As a result, the expansion will be accessible from the Wrenn Wing elevators, space W-843, as well as AICO's main showroom entrance in the Commerce Wing, space C-802.
"This location will help us tap into some of the design traffic coming from the Main Street side of the building, which is important to our strategy of attracting the design community to the Michael Amini brand," Reilly said. "The essence of Mia Bella will reflect in its casual presentation."
"We are very excited about the additional space, and the opportunity it affords us to create a different dynamic for our customers," added CEO Michael Amini.
In addition to leather upholstery, the Mia Bella by Michael Amini line includes contemporary dining and occasional pieces.
