DUBUQUE,Iowa—Flexsteel Inds.will officially open the company's new global headquarters in a dedication ceremony this afternoon.
The 43,000-square-foot space at 385 Bell St.in the Port of Dubuque includes offices for 110 Flexsteel employees and is the first relocation for the company in 76 years.
Flexsteel's corporate offices have been on Jackson Street in Dubuque since 1936.Company officials said in announcing the plan for the new headquarters last year that the old offices are structurally and technologically out of date,and that the continually evolving company needed a new home.
Flexsteel,incorporated in 1929,manufactures and imports upholstered and wood furniture for the residential,recreational vehicle,office,hospitality and health care markets.
