Vertically-integrated LED firm Lextar Electronics expects the revenue proportion for LED lighting products in 2015 to rise to 30-40%, approximately double the level in 2014, according to the company.
Lextar said it has received orders for LED light bulbs, tubes and panels with shipments scheduled through June 2015, and it expects to ship more than 40 million LED light bulbs in 2015.
Lextar said it has also started shipments of LED backlight units (BLUs) of 15mm optical distance for use in direct-type backlit LCD TVs and models with low blue light.
Lextar, which provides LED epitaxial wafers, chips and packaging services, has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.27 billion (US$40.2 million) for January, increasing 13.04% sequentially and 4.23% on year.
