Quanex Building Products Welcomed Ohio to Tour Its Newly Renovated Facility in Cambridge

Ohio Governor Tours Quanex Facility

Quanex Building Products welcomed Ohio Gov.John R.Kasich to tour its newly renovated facility in Cambridge,Ohio,last Friday,which is now the central hub for the company's insulating glass spacer system production.Quanex officials say they have added 150 new jobs in Cambridge over the past six months.

Also in attendance was Tom Orr,Mayor,City of Cambridge,David Petratis,Quanex CEO,and George Wilson,Quanex insulating glass systems general manager.

Gov.Kasich toured the facility and gave a brief address to Quanex employees.Petratis also addressed the crowd.

"We feel extremely honored that Gov.Kasich visited Cambridge to help us celebrate Quanex's growth in Ohio and our continued dedication to the community,"Petratis said."Together,we are building strength through innovation,continuous improvement and,above all,integrity."

Recent renovations to the 417,000-square-foot Cambridge facility included a transformation of the plant floor to optimize efficiencies and double the company's production output.The entry was given a new look with an LED-lit globe signifying Quanex's global presence,composite flooring and branded stone walkway leading into the entrance,according to the company.Quanex also added a new Customer Experience Center featuring a video wall,product samples and a meeting space overlooking the research and development area.
