Daimler Trucks Mexico, a commercial vehicle division of German automaker Daimler, is delivering two new large orders from Mexican companies, Arca Continental and Transmex, for 369 Freightliner trucks.
Arca Continental has ordered 273 trucks and Transmex has ordered 96 trucks. These deliveries will run through the end of 2013.
Arca Continental is a beverage bottling company in Latin America. The new order by the beverage firm is in order to update its vehicle fleet to increase the productivity of its business.
Transmex is a Mexican forwarding company, which is into transport operations. With 96 new vehicles, Transmex updates its existing transport fleet of 650 Freightliner trucks.
Daimler Trucks Mexico president and CEO Stefan Kurschner said: "The orders position of Daimler Trucks in Mexico demonstrates our ability to offer the right products to our costumers from different industries and meet their individual requirements."
Transmex CFO José Antonio Gutiérrez said: "We are banking on reliable products in order to offer the best possible delivery service to our customers."
