Chinese Industrial Enterprises' Gross Profits Rose by 13.5% Year on Year

According to statistics released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the aggregate gross profits generated by large and medium-sized industry enterprises in China totaled RMB4.0452 trillion tons in the first nine months of this year, rising by 13.5% year on year. In the given period of time, the aggregate gross profit of the ferrous metal mining industry in China totaled RMB64.78 billion, falling by 2.1%; that of the ferrous metal smelting and processing industry was RMB77.63 billion, soaring by 90.9%; that of the metal product manufacturing sector was at RMB112.16 billion, rising by 18.8%, all compared to the figures in the same period of 2012. In September alone, the aggregate gross profits of the above enterprises totaled RMB558.89 billion, rising by 18.4% year on year.
