According to report of the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the global stainless steel output totaled 18.60 million tons in the first half of this year, rising by 4.6% year on year. In the first half of this year, the stainless steel output in Asian region, excluding China totaled 4.3 million tons, falling by 3.7% year on year. However, China's crude stainless steel output increased significantly by 15.1% year on year to 8.8 million tons in the first half of this year. Meanwhile, the stainless steel output in Western Europe and Africa declined by 4% to 4.1 million tons; that in the America slid by 1.9% to 1.2 million tons and that in Eastern Europe rose by 12.4% to 207,000 tons, all compared to the figure in the same period of a year ago.
