Turkish Steel Pipe Exports Rose 3% Year-on-Year in The First Half of The Year

According to the data from the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association, Despite the global economic downturn, Turkish steel pipe exports remain small growth trend in the first half of 2013.

Turkish Steel Pipe Exports Rose 3% Year-on-Year in The First Half of The Year

The Turkish steel pipe exports amounted to 920000 metric tons between Jar. - Mar. this year, up 3% from a year earlier. Affected by the decline in global commodity prices, the steel pipe exports was $816 million, down 2.4% year-on-year.

From Jan. to Mar. this year, the largest export country is Iraq, the United States and Algeria. The number of steel pipe exports to Iraq accounted for 22% of the total exports. Although the Turkey to the United States exports fell 19%, but the United States is still the important export market of steel pipe. In addition, the first six months of the year, Turkish exports to the EU countries the number of steel pipe is sharply compared with the same period in 2012.

In June this year, Turkish steel pipe exports is 183000 metric tons, up 6.3% year on year, rose 36.6%; steel pipe exports reached $160 million, and almost unchanged in May, 2012, 32.2% month-on-month growth.
