According to data released by China's customs, China's wire rod exports totaled 895,282 tons in August, soaring by 49% from 600,498 tons in July and jumping by 81% year on year. In the first eight months of this year, the country's wire rod exports amounted to 5.38 million tons, surging by 64% year on year. Meanwhile, it's said that the jump in wire rod exports in August had been expected by market participants. The bookings in June surged sharply as country's wire rod export prices hit the year's lowest level.
