Raysut Cement has announced a series of new development plans including new terminals at Duqm port in its home country of Oman and at Berbara Port in Somalia.
The company said the new state-of-the-art terminal at Duqm will have two new silos with a capacity to store 4,000 metric tons of cement each. It will also have facilities for storing, packing and distributing cement.
The company will also build a similar terminal through a joint venture in Somalia at Berbara Port. It will have three silos capable of handling 4,000 metric tons each.
Raysut Cement also announced that plans have been approved for a new grinding plant at Mukalla in the Republic of Yemen.
This plant will be run through sister firm Mukalla Raysut Cement, which is another joint venture with a local partner.
It can grind up to 500,000 metric tonnes of cement a year and also has a capacity to pack them.
