Mexican cement maker Cemex has revealed plans to invest around $100m in expanding its operations in Egypt, Ahram has reported. "A sizable percentage" of the amount will be used to boost its capacity to use coal, pet coke, and other fuels at its Assiut cement plant, helping to eliminate fuel subsidies by 2014, Cemex said.
