Omani cement maker Raysut has reported a 19.6% growth in net profit for the first half of 2013 to OR16.38m from OR13.69m in the same period last year, on the back of increased sales and better price realisation through market optimisation, Muscat Daily has reported. The group achieved production of 1,955,413 tonnes of cement during the first six months of 2013 which is 4% lower, compared with 2,026,863 tonnes in the same period of 2012. Clinker production for the six-month period dropped 5% to 1,676,399 tonnes from 1,756,724 tonnes in the same period last year.
