According to data released by the Brazilian flat steel distributor institute (INDA), Brazil's imports of steel flat products totaled 133,900 tons in April, soaring by 28.9% year on year and rising by 48.6% month on month. In April, the distributor shipments totaled 383,100 tons, rising by 7.5% year from a month ago. Besides, the inventories hold by distributors totaled 1.01 million tons, up by 1.9% month on month. In the first four months of this year, the country's imports of steel flats totaled 434,300 tons, falling by 26.5% year on year.
